For anyone who doesn't know, "rooming in" is totally the way to go. She stayed with us for 3.5 hours prior to ever having to go to nursery and when she went it was for less than an hour...

January 24th Baby Shower @ Aldridge's

We had a blast at our baby shower at Meredith and Ben Aldridge's home next door. Here are some pics to enjoy. Many thanks to our gracious and fun hosts, the Aldridges, the Windsor's, the Parham's and the May's. We missed having the May's with us, but are glad they are back and that Katherine is recovering so well.

Maddie

Just to be sure everyone knows, we have one little girl already, a 10 yr old yellow lab named Maddie. She came to me with Joseph, but has become my little girl. This is a pic from last year when we went to Kansas City to visit our friends Jeremiah and Meredith Woodring for New Years 2007.

38.1 weeks today. Occasional contractions, but nothing major. Still hoping we will just go into labor despite this being the first pregnancy (which usually goes on forever). We figure all this shift work at night in November and January and now call on the weekends has got to get something started. But for now our little one remains quite content inside my uterus.

The nursery is finished and once we get better at downloading pics we will display for everyone to see. It is so soothing and sweet, I love to be in there.

Day #1 of our family blog. Nothing to report, just trying to make our page look not so plain. Had a great time at the Windsor's last night for Paul and Kathryn's shower. We are due four days apart and neither of us know what we're having. We'll see soon though!
