Happy Easter!

We've made it to six weeks and you all know what that means. Emily went back to work this week, and of course was on call this weekend, and the rest of the weekends in April. Joseph took his first 24 hour shift with Lily and we're pleased to say both are still alive. We went to church and then came home and Joseph cooked us a fabu meal of beef tenderloin, mashed taters and asparagus. Pretty good for a first time stay home Dad!

First Movie

Erica and Jeremy came over few weeks ago for dinner. Afterwards the boys smoked cigars and the girls watched Mama Mia, so cute! Lily is like her Mom and has trouble staying awake to finish movies.

5 Weeks!

well...as you can see Lily still looks alot like her Daddy. Eyes still blue though, and blonde eyebrows. My hair was like this then grew out blonde so we shall see. She was 9# 6oz in Pop-Pop's clinic Tuesday.

Two Weeks!

Here are some pics from today. We spent sometime working on "tummy time". We are supposed to do this 30 min everyday. However, yesterday was our first day if you don't count all the head bobbing and pecking she does on my shoulder when burping...

She tried to play possum as you can tell by the pics, but she did wake up and moved her head from one side to another. Strong Lily Johnson! Maddie was on the floor with me encouraging her, but wouldn't pose for any pics. But for those of you concerned we might be neglected our first girl, that is not the case. She participates in every feeding and is intolerant of us letting Lily cry and insists we soothe her and stop crying immediately, it interferes with Maddie's rest.

We went to the pediatrician yesterday for our first check up. She weighed 7# 9oz. and is now 21 inches long. Grew a pound and and inch in a week! Her daddy says "Franchise".

Coming home from the hospital Friday, I got more than a little emotional as we got her all loaded up. Her sweet little gown and hat were too big and the car seat swallowed her. All I could think of was that she was perfect and we were taking her out into the dangerous world. The tears flowed and flowed.
Estrogen...
